Participants are supplying their own set(s) for the meeting.

A Lego Draft is when we all bring the same new in box Lego set and divide up into its various elements (pieces) and then divvy up so each participant has a big quantity of the SAME element/piece at the end from said sets.

The basic process of this draft:
All the sets are opened and sorted into its respective elements into a convient container (solo cups). For example: all Teal 1×1 tiles from the set will go into a container, all light bluish grey 2×2 round plates will go into another and so on and so forth. Minifigures are fully assembled before going into a container (Hat/hair, head, cape, belt, legs make a minifigure; accessories however are NOT sorted this way and are treated as unique elements).

Once all the pieces are separated out we then randomly pull numbers and that’s our choosing order. Each participant will, on their number(s) pick a container of what we just sorted of the same element as theirs to keep. Then the next number goes and picks, going down the list of numbers until it reaches then end; then the last person picks twice and we reverse the count back up the list.
For example: Say there’s 15 people participating we go 1-15 and then 15 goes again and back down the orders. 1 goes twice and back up to 15 until all the pieces are chosen!

1 minifigure = 1 choice, NOT the whole cup of figures
Same with sticker sheets

A participant may bring 1 additional copy of their set selection (2 of the same set total); they will draw 2 numbers at random, and will pick on each of their numbers when appropriate. For this draft, participants will only pick one set selection.
For example: 2x of the cat is fine; 1 of the cat and one of the jet is NOT fine. (We want to minimize confusion as this process can be quite confusing even for veterans hence the limits).

Many like sandwich bags to keep their picks organized; however none will be provided (many just use the box their set came in as the “big” container for their pieces as well) . Participants may keep their instruction manuals .

If there are any questions feel free to ask during the meeting.
